Comtes de Champagne is the prestige cuvée of the Reims house Taittinger, first made with the 1952 vintage. It is a Blanc de Blancs from Chardonnay grown in five Grand Cru villages of the Côte des Blancs: Avize, Cramant, Chouilly, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger.

2014 was one of the last Champagne vintages to be picked in October. A small share of the wine (6 to 8%) spent four to six months in oak, and it aged about 10 years in the cellar before release, with 8 to 9 g/L dosage. It is youthful and bold, with a firm, crystalline texture.
