Clos de la Croix de Pierre is a walled plot within the En Caradeux Premier Cru of Pernand-Vergelesses, owned by the Domaine des Héritiers Louis Jadot. It takes its name from the large stone cross that stands in the vineyard. The east-facing slope of limestone and small stones gives a red Burgundy of freshness and fine structure.
The 2022 was macerated for three to four weeks and aged 18 months in barrel, about one-third new. It offers cherry, red berries and violet, with fine tannins and a chalky, mineral finish. 13.5% alc. 90-92 points Wine Advocate. Drink 2024-2035.
Classic Côte de Beaune Pinot Noir for roast chicken, veal or Comté.
