White wine is a rarity in Nuits-Saint-Georges, and the Clos de l'Arlot is one of its finest. This walled Premier Cru monopole in Premeaux-Prissey belongs entirely to Domaine de l'Arlot. The domaine has farmed biodynamically since 2003 and is now led by winemaker Géraldine Godot.
The blend is Chardonnay with a few percent of Pinot Gris. It is raised with less than 25% new oak, so the site comes through clearly. 2023 was a generous vintage here, with yields of around 40 to 43 hl/ha. The wine is ripe and layered but still has a taut, mineral core. 13% alc.
A collector's white Burgundy. Best from 2026 through to around 2036.
