Vaillons is one of Chablis’ most celebrated Premier Cru vineyards, situated on the left bank of the Serein where warmer exposures give wines a touch more generosity. Rooted in classic Kimmeridgian soils of limestone and fossilised oyster shells, Vaillons combines Chablis’ hallmark minerality with a broader, more textural palate. Expect flavours of lemon, green apple and white peach, layered with subtle florals and a saline edge. Compared to the steely precision of right bank sites, Vaillons offers approachability in youth while still retaining freshness, structure and excellent ageing potential.
