Alkoomi is a family estate in Frankland River, in the far south of Western Australia, and has been growing grapes there since the early 1970s. The Family Collection Chardonnay comes entirely from estate vineyards.
The 2024 was fermented in French oak and rested about 8 months on lees. Expect citrus and pink grapefruit with ripe peach, a touch of vanilla and a creamy, rounded palate that stays fresh.
An easy-drinking estate Chardonnay for weeknight roast chicken, fish tacos or a glass on its own.
