Yarra Yering was founded by Dr Bailey Carrodus in 1969 at Gruyere and remains one of the Yarra Valley's most celebrated estates. Dry Red No. 1 is its Bordeaux-style blend, led by Cabernet Sauvignon.

The 2024 shows blackcurrant, cedar and violets with fine, firm tannins and a long, savoury finish. It will age well.

Classic Yarra Cabernet blend for roast lamb, beef or hard cheeses.
